2026 Trips

I start taking deposits for these trips August 7th, 2025

Patagonia

Dates: February 1st - February 12th, 2026
Spots available: 9 people
Captain: Brittney

Cost: $3200 per person
Payment Plan:
$500 due to claim spot starting August 7th, 2025
$900 due September 26th, 2025 as a lock in payment
$900 due November 14th, 2025
$900 due January 2nd, 2026

Bougie level: 3/5 we’ll be staying in pretty average stays. You’ll always have a bed.
Physical difficulty: 8/8 trails are long and difficult. You should train before this trip.

PATAGONIA! This is basically the Holy Grail for outdoor enthusiasts. So much so that I absolutely struggled picking what we should do here… originally we were going to backpack for 10 days on the O trail… but then we weren’t going to see much else! So I have compromised my original plan, and we are ROAD TRIPPING! This will allow us to see the most of Patagonia while having the flexibility of our own cars.

We’ll be visiting both the Argentinian side and the Chilean side, seeing highlights in both areas. We’ll be hiking 3 LONG trails (around 15 miles over rough terrain each of those days), horseback riding, kayaking, visiting a glacier, and filling our ‘rest’ days with shorter hikes. We’ll be basing ourselves out of El Chalten, El Calafate and Torres del Paine.

So if hiking hard trails is your thing, and you want to experience some of the most beautiful scenery, this is the one for you!

California

Dates: March 5th - March 14th, 2026
Spots available: 8 people
Captains: Morgan and Matt

$500 due February 20th, 2026

Bougie level: 4.8/5 lodgings will be nice and cute.
Physical difficulty: 5.5/8 *most* trails will be on the easier side, but one of two more challenging ones will be mixed in. Ocean kayaking is happening, which can be a little challenging too.

CALIFORNIA! This will be a wonderfully curated, delicately crafted ROAD TRIPPPP! Y’all know road trips are my favorite, and this one is a great balance of amazing nature and cozy comfort. You’ll be exploring four national parks: Joshua Tree, Death Valley, Channel Islands and Pinnacles. You’ll see the beautifully unique Joshua trees, visit the lowest point in the United States, witness other worldly landscapes, visit the least visited National Park in California, kayak sea caves, track down a cute island fox, visit a Danish village, go on an otter search, visit some elephant seals, search for Californian condors while completing one of my favorite trails in America, visit Monterey Bay Aquarium, go on a whale watching tour, and hike around Big Sur. You’ll have active days with restful nights, as the lodging on this trip will be cute and cozy. So if you’re looking for a classic American road trip across varying landscapes, with lots of amazing plants and animals along the way, this one is for you!

Honduras

Dates: April 5th - April 13th, 2026
Spots available: 11 people (but limited to 6 people per certification level)
Captain: Brittney

Cost: $1500 per person
Payment Plan:
$500 due to claim spot starting August 7th, 2025
$400 due November 21st, 2025 as a lock in payment
$300 due January 9th, 2026
$300 due March 20th, 2026

Bougie level: 3/5 staying at our typical places, which are cute but basic.
Physical difficulty: 7/8 if you’re going for OW or Rescue, this’ll be a little more difficult. AOW y’all will just be having a good fun time, but you’ll still be sleepy at the end of the day.

HONDURAS! Sweet home away from home. We’re heading back to our favorite dive school on the island of Utila to get MORE people certified, and help current divers advance their skills. There will be three different classes going on: Open water, Advanced open water and Rescue.

Open Water: this is your first diving certification! You’ll have a mix of classroom work, confined water dives (this actually happens in the ocean off the end of a dock), open water dives, and a written exam. At the end of our time in Honduras you’ll be a certified SCUBA diver able to dive down to 60 feet (just breathe and don’t panic! You got this!).

Advanced open water: this is for divers who currently have their Open Water certification and want to develop more as a diver. You’ll cover how to maintain perfect buoyancy, how to navigate underwater, and you’ll reach a depth of 100 feet. This class is a must for anyone who loves diving and wants to get better at it!

Rescue: are you already AOW and you know you’re serious about diving? The next step would be becoming a Rescue diver. Becoming a rescue diver helps increase your confidence underwater, enhances your self-awareness while diving, and gives you the knowledge to properly deal with potential problems while underwater. During this class we’ll learn the skills that would help us rescue a fellow diver in case of an emergency (I am going to volunteer to drown multiple times during this class), which makes you literally the best dive buddy anyone could ask for.

During the day we’ll all be broken up into our separate class groups, but at night we’ll be hanging out around the pool back at our lodging, or eating all the food we can find on the island. After we’ve all successfully gotten our new certifications we’ll be doing some fun dives to celebrate.

Physical difficulty: 3/8 there will be a lot of walking on this trip, but it’ll all be city walking.

ITALY AND GREECE! You’ll be based out of only two cities on this trip: Rome and Athens. While in Rome you’ll be exploring local sites including the Colosseum, Roman Forum, Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps while taking day trips to Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast. You’ll have a fun cooking class and you’ll be taking a wine tasting tour of Tuscany. After spending 4 days in Italy you’ll bop on over to Athens to enjoy the rest of the trip eating even more amazing food and seeing even more amazing ancient sites. You’ll take a day trip to Meteora, sail around three Greek islands, and visit 7 ancient sites right there in Athens. On our Euro 1.0 trip we visited France, Belgium, Malta and Iceland. On this trip? We’re heading to Eastern Europe. Come along as we explore Poland, Czechia, Slovakia and Hungary! This will be an emotional whirlwind as I try to bring your mood up before totally crushing it. Then we’ll head to Czechia, staying in the small town of Brno. We’ll explore a local cave and enjoy time in nature… and then visit the second largest ossuary in Europe. The Azores

Bougie level: 4/5

THE AZORES! That’s right, we’re escaping out into the middle of the Atlantic Ocean to explore the archipelago of the Azores. What’s so special about these islands? Formed by volcanic activity these islands sit about 1,000 miles off the coast of Portugal. They have unique flora and fauna with stunning natural beauty and are surrounded by rich and diverse marine life. We’ll be visiting two of the islands: Sao Miguel and Santa Maria. On Sao Miguel we’ll be fully exploring the land via a road trip around the island. Sao Miguel boasts some of the most gorgeous trails and we’ll be trying to fit in as many hikes as we possibly can. Sao Miguel is also home to resident sperm whales, in which we will try to find on our last day on this island. Once we bop over to Santa Maria our trip becomes ALL about the ocean, where our certified divers will descend under the ocean and our non-certified crew will snorkel. We have a chance to see mobula rays, manta rays, sharks and other large pelagic species. Santa Maria is also frequently visited by whale sharks during this time of year, often surrounded by huge school of tuna. So if you’re looking for a little bit of land adventure mixed with a little bit of ocean, this trip is for you!

OH, CANADA! Sure, you’ve seen photos of Banff National Park. And YES it is absolutely gorgeous. But this area of Canada is a whole lot more than just Lake Louise, and this road trip will show you proof of that. Join Morgan and Matt as they drive you around Banff National Park and Jasper National Park, seeing iconic lakes and hiking breathtaking (literally) trails. You’ll spend the first half of the trip hiking in Banff followed by one of the most scenic drives along the Icefields Parkway stopping at gorgeous views along the way. You’ll then spend the last half of the trip hiking in Jasper National Park as well as hiking right ON a glacier on a guided glacier trek across Athabasca glacier. We’re going to West Africa! This trip we’ll be diving deep into history and culture as we visit three separate countries in West Africa. Starting in Ghana we’ll be exploring along the coast to learn the painful but important history of this area’s colonial past. We’ll also be exploring Kakum National Park, known for its canopy walk amongst seven suspension bridges and home to amazing wildlife including around 250 species of birds. We’ll then travel to Shai Hills Reserve to look for more wildlife and enjoy some hiking. We’ll then leave Ghana and enter the lesser visited countries of Togo and Benin. While in Togo we’ll spend our time in local markets. This will be our first look into the Vodún religion as we wander the world’s largest Voodoo Fetish Market. This will not be for the faint of heart. After leaving Togo we will enter the birthplace of the Vodun religion: Benin. Here we will visit a local temple, experience the sacred forest considered the Mecca of Voodoo, and we’ve been invited to attend a local Voodoo ceremony. We’ll then finish up our time in Benin by visiting the world’s largest floating village, Ganvie, before heading back to Ghana. If exploring roads less traveled while learning about other cultures and religions is your jam, this trip is for you!

FAQs

What do these prices include?

Prices of each trip include all lodging, activities and in-country transport. Some meals are provided if we are doing special tour days in which meals are included. These will be listed in the itinerary for you so you know how to properly budget for meals. YOU will have to pay for and book your own flights to and from our starting and end point. I can help assist you if booking flights makes you nervous. You will also have to pay for anything extra that is not included in the official itinerary.

What happens if I have to drop out?

Your $500 deposit is fully refundable up until the first real payment is due. That first real payment is called your “Lock-in Payment”, and paying that tells me that you’re all set to go on the trip. That lock in payment typically marks the start of me putting in deposits for bookings, so after that point your money is no longer refundable. Please make sure you can for sure make the trip work before committing to that lock-in payment. (The only way that I can do a full reimbursement after the lock-in date is if I can find someone to take your place on that trip, which is totally possible but not guaranteed).

Do these dates include travel time?

The dates listed include what your probable travel time will be (to make it easier for you to request the days off at your work). To explain this a little better, I have searched routine flights from various common places that we all fly out of and have built in travel days into the itineraries. If you are coming from an area that is very far away, or in a totally different time zone you may need to extend (or if you’re lucky, reduce!) your travel dates based on your available flights. Once you’re given your Info Packet on the trip you have signed up for you will be given an exact date and time that you should be in the destination by along with proper airport codes to assist you in booking the correct flight. I have provided the airport info in the description of each trip so you can do a little research into flight prices before committing to the trip.

How do I grab a spot?

2026 Trips open up for deposits on August 7th. They fill up fast. Squirrel Fund raffle will be drawn on August 6th.

Once happens once I get a spot on a trip?

Once you secure a spot on a trip you’ll be placed into a group chat with the others that are on the trip with you. Not too long after joining in that trip you’ll get an info packet that includes what flights you should be looking at, a packing list, tips on packing and insurance, medical info for that trip, my own personal packing list for that specific trip, and specific cultural things and tips for travel. Closer to the trip you’ll receive the full very detailed itinerary..

 Even MORE FAQs

  • Included in the price of each trip is all of your lodging, activities, in-country transport, and any visa fees.

Airfare, personal meals, souvenirs and anything done outside of the provided itinerary is NOT included in the price of the trip.

  • Since flights are no longer included in the cost of the trips, I will be guiding you on which flights to book. I will provide everyone with correct airport codes, dates and times that they should be booking their flights for each trip. I can even still book the flights for you, it will just have to be paid for separately.

  • I work on my itineraries all year and announce the OFFICIAL details on June 11th this year. Once the details are posted, I start taking deposits on August 7th starting at noon. These trips fill up FAST, and we have lovingly come to call the deposit day as “The Hunger Games”… if the trip is full you’ll get your deposit back within the day and will be put on a waiting list (which usually 1-3 people on each waiting list ends up on the trip in the long run).

  • Before deciding to join a Brittney Trip, you will be completely aware of the payment plan for the entire trip. To claim a spot there is a deposit that is fully refundable UP UNTIL THE FIRST BIG PAYMENT (this deposit is put towards the final cost of your trip so it is not an additional payment). There is typically a few months between putting the deposit down and when the first actual payment is due, once that first actual payment is paid you are locked into the trip and money can no longer be refunded (your money at this point will be tied up in bookings). I form a group chat for each trip so we can all get to know each other and discuss trip details, and once everything is booked you’ll get a fully detailed day-to-day itinerary that will basically paint you a picture of exactly what to expect. Closer to the trip, you’ll get a packing list, with packing tips and we have a Zoom meeting where we can all see each other and chat about how excited we are.

  • A huge part of traveling with me is making new, life-long friends. If you’re a friendly and easy going person that is looking to travel and make new friends, I guarantee you this is for you.

  • These trips are budget trips, and that typically means that I would rather spend our budget on experiences and activities rather than a 5 star resort. That being said, some trips are fancier than others. ENTER: The Bougie Scale.

This is a scale of 1-5… with 1 usually representing a lot of camping and 5 representing a very large mansion. A rating of 3 guarantees that you’ll have a regular ol’ bed every night (boring, I know). But as always, I can promise it’ll be memorable.

  • This is a scale of 1 - 8. If you haven’t picked up on it, I like being outside. I like being physical. I love hiking, biking, climbing, kayaking, rafting etc. Am I a professional at any of these things?? Absolutely not. And these trips are a great entry-point for people who want to experience these things, but have zero background in them. But some trips will require some training beforehand, just to make it the most comfortable for you. Every trip will have a clear communication of why it is rated with a certain difficulty level, and I encourage you to challenge yourself to experience something new and unique.
